Mother-in-law and son-in-law elopement (File )
Uttar Pradesh: There is anger in both the villages over the mother-in-law and son-in-law who escaped from Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. Apna Devi, who has eloped with her own daughter-to-be groom, her village has even said that if she is seen, they will kill her. The neighbor said Apna Devi has defamed the village. Other women are also getting a bad name because of it. Such a woman has no right to live.
At the same time, there is equal anger among the people in the village of the groom Rahul, who ran away with his mother-in-law. But Rahul's villagers are also cursing their own Devi. They say that Rahul Sharif is a boy. The mother-in-law did sorcery on him, due to which he went with her. The head of the village, Dinesh, even called it vashikaran – said Rahul used to respect everyone. He is just 20 years old. At this age, there is not so much power to think. The mother-in-law had tied two amulets to her on the day of Holi. The whole matter is of vashikaran. Why would Rahul leave an 18-year-old girl and run away with her mother-in-law?
On the other hand, Geeta, who lives in Manoharpur of Madrak police station area, where Apna Devi's house is located, says that Apna Devi, who runs away with her son-in-law, has no right to live. She is no longer worth living. Such a woman has become the reason for the village's disrepute. No one thought that she would do such a thing. If they are seen in both villages, they should be killed. Other women are also getting a bad name because of it, now who will trust women?
The victim, Jitendra Kumar, who is Apna Devi's husband, lives with his family in Manoharpur village and is survived by his wife and daughter. The daughter's marriage was fixed with Rahul, a young man living in Chharra area. Even the wedding cards were printed and distributed, but 9 days before the wedding, son-in-law Rahul absconded with his mother-in-law. I will decide that later. For us, she's already dead. We won't let him come home. Rahul asked me for a new phone. I also got him a new phone. But he used to talk to my wife from the same phone. Little did we know that one day both of them would feed these gulls.
At present, the boy's father Omveer was also questioned by the Madrak police at the police station. The mother-in-law's phones are switched off. Efforts are on to trace their location.
